Alchemy Dubs presents: Melodica Trilogy Volume 1

Alchemy Dubs is proud to present our first release on 7” format.

This record is the first volume of our Melodica Trilogy, that will consist of three different melodica tracks performed by three different players (limited edition of 500 units each). All of them with dubs on the B side, of course.

Magma is a track produced by Ital & Vital that features Camila Monasterio on melodica duties. Although the track was made in 2008 it’s one of those that resists well the pass of time, and it’s also one of our favourites.

On the A side we find the melodica cut delicately performed by Camila while on the B side we find a special “four-hand” dub version recorded live with Ojah’s and Puppa Shan’s big hands fighting for space on the mixer!

This 7” is both suited to enjoy at home or on a sound system, don’t judge a record’s pressure by its size! Mixed by Ojah & Puppa Shan, re-mastered via 1/2 inch tape by Lewis Hopkin and served in a thick krafliner sleeve.

Limited edition of 500 copies, hand-stamped and hand-numbered.

All tracks written, mixed & produced by Oscar Pablos "Ojah" and Santi Mijarra “Puppa Shan” at Alchemy Dubs Studio & Discoinferno, Madrid, 2008
Melodica by Camila Monasterio
Mastered by Lewis Hopkin at Stardelta Audio Mastering

ITAL & VITAL

Ital & Vital is the production name for the duo formed by long time friends and Collaborators Oscar Pablos “Ojah” (Alchemy Dubs) and Santi Mijarra “Puppa Shan” (Bass Culture Players, Echo Chamber Roots Hi-Fi). After all these years they still haven't managed to agree who is Ital and who is Vital so they are both Ital & Vital.

Camila Monasterio

Is a singer/songwriter and keyboard player from Spain that has performed and sung in many reggae tracks as well as other styles, on this occasion bringing her unique touch with the melodica.
