Light & Power comes ruff ‘n’ ready, served on the tuffest quality wax in a thick card sleeve, just like last time.
On the A side we find Nik’s wild melodica version featuring super-fast live arpeggios and multiple experimental melodica tricks, taking the instrument to old and new territories at the same time. Some crazy roots-inspired harmonies come through on this one, with brief flashes of colour darting across the mix virtuosically.
On the B side we find a spacey stripped-down dub version, in this case executed by Ojah at Alchemy Dubs Studio – classic as they come, every A needs a good dub, and, as with the ALDBS 12 we premiered a while back, man like Ojah doesn’t dissapoint.
Mastered via 1/2 inch tape by Lewis Hopkin and served in a thick kraftliner sleeve.
Limited edition of 500 copies, hand-stamped and hand-numbered.
